ReCAPTION: The Jimmer And Gortat Guillotine Edition

Part humor, part reader interaction, our aim is to bring laughs, eye rolls and even a sprinkle of YOUR (yes, you the reader) own wit and creativity out.  In addition to our own captions, we’ll present one blank canvas for reader submissions.  The winning submission will get a shout-out and their response inserted onto said blank canvas.  The point?  To have fun with it.

“A picture is worth a thousand words.” – Some really smart person a long or short time ago

While a picture can indeed bring a story to life (and there are many great ones out there to be told) sometimes the picture just isn’t enough.  We here at Utah Sports Net took it upon ourselves to fulfill our moral obligation to Jazz fans everywhere – to tell the story behind that story, behind the OTHER story.  Like Inception, but for pictures.

Get your Jimmer on in anticipation of this weekend’s festivities.  Happy Thanksgiving, indeed.

Now, it’s your turn.  Send in your best, wittiest, snarkiest caption for the photo below for your chance at Utah Sports Net immortality.  Again, the winner will have their caption featured next week on our site and receive a shout-out on every  possible social network available.  This is guaranteed to make you at least 78% more popular.

This week’s photo comes courtesy of Jeffrey D Allred of the Deseret News.  Leave a comment below, or tweet your caption at me (@CowhideGlobe) or Utah Sports Net (@UtahSportsNet).  Happy captioning, y’all.

About the author

Jake Jeppsen, father of two and husband of one, grew up surrounded by a basketball-loving family. His earliest basketball memories include a Julius Erving jigsaw puzzle, Junior Jazz basketball Saturday's, and once getting Blue Edwards's autograph. By day, his nine-to-five enables him to purchase NBA League Pass. By night, he turns into "Guy Who Watches Lots Of Basketball...Guy". He's even written a recap or two for various Utah Jazz blogs over the years. A real superhero of sorts. Never one to take life (or sports) too seriously, you can catch him and his *quotation fingers* analysis on Twitter @CowhideGlobe.
